Canada tourist visa
Those wishing to visit Canada as tourists can obtain a tourist visa.
Types of tourist visas:
Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) Visa:
- Available to citizens of countries exempt from visa requirements.
- Allows up to 6 months in
- Canada per entry.
- Valid for 5 years.
Traditional Tourist Visa:
- Required for citizens of countries not eligible for eTA.
- Can be single entry, double entry or multiple entry.
- Allows up to 6 months in
- Canada per entry.
- Valid from 6 months to 10 years.
Tourist Visa Requirements:
- Valid Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of your intended departure from Canada.
- Financial security: You must demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to support yourself while in Canada.
- Purpose of travel: You must convince Canadian immigration authorities that you intend to leave Canada when your visa expires.
- Medical examination: You may be required to undergo a medical examination if you are applying for a multiple-entry visa.
How to get a tourist visa:
- Determine which type of visa is right for you.
- Collect the required documents.
- Complete the online application form.
